BEYOND PRODIGAL
Beyond Prodigal is one way our church loves and serves our community. We began this focused effort last year to organize opportunities for Prodigal to serve together with our time, talents, and resources beyond our Sunday gatherings. It’s been a great way to partner with local organizations, support individuals in need, and build connections as we serve alongside each other.

This is a Fresno State student-led food distribution that provides free groceries to those in need. Food insecurity is on the rise, and so many families are currently affected in our community. Expect to assist shoppers, lift and load groceries, and be a friendly face supporting the community. Kids 6+ can volunteer with parent/guardian supervision and need to be signed up as well.

ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES
Beyond Prodigal is launching an ongoing service project to strengthen child and family well-being in our area. This team will connect donated resources to specific needs. We may collect clothing for youth in foster care, furniture for a family coming out of homelessness, or other essential items that strengthen an unstable home in a meaningful way.
To do this, we are partnering with CarePortal, an organization and online platform that lets us view and respond to requests from trusted local agencies, nonprofits, and schools right here in Fresno and Clovis. The needs are often simple, practical things that make a difference in moving our neighbors from surviving to thriving.
Resource Responders are volunteers who will help find, gather, and deliver donations when Prodigal agrees to help with a need. By signing up, you agree to receive need requests via email and are free to contribute or respond however you’d like. You are NOT obligated to donate items or funds.
